Cars are the No. 1 cause of cat deaths in the world. It is vital that, if you live on a busy road, you keep your cat indoors or build it an outdoor run. White cats are often born deaf (see White Cats) which means they can not hear approching cars.
Storms are just as dangerous for cats as they are for humans. For instance, a cat could be startled by thunderclaps and climb up a tree. The tree could be struck by lightning, which could be fatal for your cat. Also, if you live near a river or lake, they could flood, possibly drowning your cat. Keep all cats indoors if you notice any sign of a storm, such as thunder or heavy rain.
Never let a cat outside during a storm.
They'll be much happier indoors!
Everyone loves kittens, but they will grow into adults, and eventually, elderly cats. It's important not to lose intrest in them because they don't play and run around anymore. If you have younger cats make sure you include the older cat in everything and give them extra special attention.
Old cats will play less and sleep more. Treat them to posh cat food, pampering ect. instead of toys as they will ignore them.
CATS ON BEDS
Cats will sleep on a bed at any oppurtunity. They're warm, cozy, and smell of the human they love. But it is a nuisance sometimes - especially when they shed everywhere! However, to prevent this you can purchase special 'cat covers' to put on the bed. However, make sure that they also have acsess to a real catbed at all times.
